Dear Parents, The entire staff and administration of Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary School Family welcome you and your children to a more exciting and productive new school year. We have made great progress during the 2005-2006 School Year that was evident by performance of our students on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Our school is now a "C" school. We have high expectations for our students because we believe that the elementary school years are the foundation upon which your children can build a brighter future to become productive citizens and leaders of tomorrow. It is my sincere hope that each and every one of you will join in with the Paul Laurence Dunbar team for the continued success of your children. The faculty, together with administration, is eager and ready to work with you and your children for another great and successful 2006-2007 school year. As always we are faced with many challenges, but working together as a team we will be able to accomplish our most important goal that is to provide the best education for all of our students. To better inform you of the policies and guidelines of the school, the Parent Handbook that has been developed will be sent home to you with your child on the first day of school.
